Milk Bar is a sweet (and occasionally savory) shop that’s been turning familiar treats upside down and on their heads, shaking up the dessert scene since 2008. We are super into feeding flavorful treats to those who crave the unexpected and believe there is nothing more underrated than a well-made cookie.
In this class you will learn not only the ins-and-outs of cookie chemistry but how to build non-traditional flavor profiles that will challenge your notions on what should go into a cookie. This hands-on class will focus on the process from start to finish: ingredient selection, mixing technique and baking. The goal is to teach you foundational tools for technical success while sparking joy and imagination for long-term baking creativity.
Anna McGorman is the Director of Culinary Operations for Milk Bar. She runs all R&D and Production for this nationwide brand and has previously been Pastry Chef for both Daniel Boulud and Dominique Ansel.
